U-Shape Magnets & Keepers, Alnico, Options Available
The U Shape Magnets are to enhance the magnetic strength and efficiency of the magnet. The horseshoe shape allows for the magnetic poles (north and south poles) to be closer together, which concentrates the magnetic field lines within the gap of the U, making the magnet stronger.
The magnets are supplied with keepers to preserve and enhance the magnetic strength of the magnet when it is not in use. The keeper serves to close the magnetic circuit, preventing the magnet's magnetic field from dissipating and maintaining its magnetisation over time.
