The Recording Timer Kit offers a simple and cost-effective solution for velocity measurement. The setup involves a long, narrow strip of paper tape moving under a carbon paper disc and a vibrating hammer, creating dots on the paper strip. By calculating the rate of hammering and the distance between dots, the velocity of the moving object can be determined.

The kit includes the recording timer, featuring a hammer and platform, ensuring stability with its heavy diecast base and rubber feet, eliminating the need for clamps on the table. The timer can also be held vertically on a retort stand using the extension rod. For safety, a knob prevents the timer from falling through the support clamp if it loosens.

Additionally, the kit comes complete with a 30 metre roll of white paper and 25 carbon discs for marking the dots on the paper strip. This convenient and versatile kit offers an efficient way to record and measure velocity for various experiments and applications.
