MCE Membrane Filter, White, 0.22µm, Sterile, Indiv-Sealed, Pack of 100
MS® Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) Membrane Filters are composed of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate. Since the MCE membrane is biologically inert, it is one of the most widely used membranes in analytical and research applications.
The filters are characterised by a smoother and more uniform surface than pure Nitrocellulose filters. Additionally, the colour contrast provided by the filter's surface facilitates particle detection and minimises eye fatigue.
Many microbiological techniques include Colony Counting after incubation as the standard method of quantification. The gridded filters have clearly defined grid lines spaced at 3.1 mm intervals. The special ink used is non-toxic and completely free from bacterial growth inhibitors.
White gridded discs are designed for general-purpose examination of all microorganisms, the recovery and retention of E. Coli bacteria in water or wastewater analysis, as well as other microbiological tests.
