The Free Fall Apparatus has a 1M fall and uses a mechanical release for the ball. The upper platform is adjustable for position on the 1M vertical rail so that experiments can be performed at different falling distances.
An electronic timer is connected to the upper and lower platforms to obtain a signal as the ball begins to fall and another when the ball hits the lower platform.
