Design Improvements

The sliding collimating lens uses a durable friction slider for easier adjustment. Colour filters and plates are now moulded from heat-resistant polycarbonate for added strength. The quartz halogen lamp features a secure, tamper-proof socket and includes a spare. The lower power lamp allows two Light Boxes to run from one IEC power pack (LB2633-001).

Electrical & Connectivity Features

The Light Box can now house a miniature transformer, allowing it to be operated directly from 240V mains power. Its upgraded socket design enables one Light Box to connect directly to another. The banana plugs are moulded onto the cables and are stackable, preventing detachment or loss. A visual battery indicator ensures reliable operation.

Optical Components

The kit includes a Light Box with an adjustable collimating lens and two swinging mirrors for colour blending. It also comes with a comprehensive set of optical accessories including slit formers, filters, plates, mirrors, lenses, prisms, and acrylic blocks, all manufactured with precision tooling and water-clear clarity.

An experiment manual is included with each kit, covering all essential optics experiments.
